Remembers you & keeps long chats manageable

Two different things: what you ask Emily to remember (preferences, professors, notes) stays saved until you delete it. Your recent chat history is kept shorter so replies stay focused and affordable.

Remembers you

Emily picks up where you left off

Ask Emily to remember your favourite study spot, your professor, or pinned course notes. Next time you open Telegram, she still knows — unlike a one-off chat that forgets you when you close the app.

  • Still there when you come back. Close Telegram, open it tomorrow — your saved preferences, professors, and notes are still there until you ask Emily to delete them.
  • Just ask in plain words. Say "remember I like …" or "save my chem syllabus" — no special syntax required. Emily writes it down when you are not in private mode.
  • Emily may ask before saving. If you mention something in passing, Emily might ask yes or no before keeping it — you stay in control.
  • See it, export it, delete it. Ask "what do you know about me?" anytime. Download your data or say "forget everything" to wipe saved memory — a parent-set forget PIN may be required for a full wipe.

Try saying: Remember I like K-pop · Remember I usually study at Weldon · Remember Dr. Kim is my chem professor

This is different from your recent chat history. Things you ask Emily to remember stay saved until you delete them. When a conversation gets very long, Emily may focus on recent messages — that does not erase what you asked her to keep.

Long conversations

Smart limits — so help stays affordable

Emily is built for students on a budget. She keeps replies focused, summarizes very long chats, and does not pretend to remember every message forever. What you explicitly ask her to save is treated differently — see remembers you.

First
  • Focused replies. Emily keeps answers concise so you get clear help without endless walls of text — designed to stay affordable for students.
  • Long chats stay manageable. Very long back-and-forths get summarized instead of replaying every message. Emily still knows what you are working on.
  • Saved memory comes first. When a chat is crowded, Emily keeps your saved preferences and course notes before trimming older small talk.

When a chat gets crowded, Emily keeps first: Quiz progress → Conversation summary → Uploaded file excerpts → School & file references → Older messages.

Privacy before AI companies see your words

On by default: Emily strips names and personal details on her server before sending text to OpenAI or other AI services — using generic labels that resist mosaic-style re-identification.

Privacy by default

Your details are stripped before they reach AI companies

Emily cleans your messages on her own server before sending anything to OpenAI or other AI services. Your real name, contacts, and personal details are replaced with generic labels — and the mapping that links labels back to you never leaves Emily.

  2. 2.Emily scrubs locally. Names → generic labels · PII removed · uploads generalized
  3. 3.AI generates a reply. Providers see anonymized text only
  4. 4.Reply hardening. Privacy labels stripped · you get normal language
  • Stripped before it leaves Emily. Your message, chat history, and study context are cleaned on Emily's server before any call to OpenAI or other AI services.
  • Generic labels — not partial blur. Names and personal details become fixed placeholders (like "the student"), not half-hidden text. That blocks mosaic attacks — piecing clues together from many partial leaks across queries.
  • The real map stays local. Who you are, your professors, campus, and contacts are mapped on Emily's server only. That mapping is never sent to AI providers.
  • Emails, phones, and IDs removed. Structured personal information — email addresses, phone numbers, account IDs, and similar fields — is scrubbed from outbound text.
  • Replies checked before you see them. Emily reviews AI replies so internal privacy labels do not leak back into your Telegram chat.

On by default. Separate from memory you control — anonymization affects what AI companies receive, not what Emily saves locally until you delete it.

Backups you control

Emily does not guarantee your data can never be lost. Connect Google Drive for automatic copies, or say export my data for a full ZIP — especially before you forget anything.

Your backups

Copies you control — not a “never lost” promise

Emily stores your data on the tutor server — but she does not promise it can never be lost. Your best protection is copies you control, especially Google Drive when connected.

Full ZIP export includes

  • Saved memory & professors
  • Chat transcript (non-private turns)
  • Quiz progress & sessions
  • Profile, reminders, notes, timetable
  • Drive file list (names only — not file contents)

Not automatic — know the gaps

  • Memory & quiz progress. Do not auto-sync to Drive — use "export my data" for a full ZIP.
  • Private chats. Messages in privacy mode or marked private are omitted from exports.
  • Uploaded files on Emily. Server copies are short-lived (~24h) unless archived to your Drive.
  • Server failure. Without your own export or Drive copies, data on the tutor server could be lost.

After forget: Copies already in your Google Drive are not deleted when you say "forget everything" on Emily — see the Privacy Policy. Full export before a forget is a good idea if you want to keep everything.

Hints, not answer keys

Start: "help me practice …" · "don't give me the answer"

  1. StartAsk Emily to help you practice — she suggests switching when that fits better than a full explanation.
  2. TopicEmily figures out what skill you are working on (e.g. stoichiometry, mitosis).
  3. Hint + checkA targeted hint, then one question to check your understanding — graded, not answer keys.
  4. ProgressEmily tracks what you have practiced and reminds you when to review.

Example: How do I balance this equation? → hint → limiting reagent check → progress saved.
